iPhone 14 – Specs, Release Date and Rumors
iPhone 14 Release Date (Tentative)
Apple will likely release four new iPhone 14 models in September: the Apple iPhone 14, the Apple iPhone 14 Max, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro, and the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max.
iPhone 14 Specifications
The new ‘pill-shaped + punch hole’ cutout will replace the notch on the front of the ‘Pro’ variants of the Apple iPhone series. According to a fresh rumour by DigiTimes, both the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max will ship with 6GB of RAM and a newer, quicker memory type.
According to the rumour, the high-end iPhone 14 models would contain 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which is a speedier and more efficient form of memory than prior standards. The current iPhone models have LPDDR4X RAM, and it is rumoured that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will feature the same.
In contrast to the Apple iPhone 13 series, all iPhone 14 devices are believed to include 6GB of RAM. But only the Apple iPhone 14 Pro versions are believed to be powered by a new ‘A16’ processor. Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst, believes that the A15 Bionic technology will remain in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.
iPhone 14 Rumours
Apple is rumoured to unveil the next Apple iPhone 14 series, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE 2nd generation, Apple Watch Series 8 ‘Pro,’ Apple AirPods Pro 2, and other devices during a special event on September 13.
Reportedly, the tech giant will begin distributing the Apple iPhone 14 series on September 23, ten days after the product’s debut. We are unable to confirm the remours independently. Therefore, the information may be accurate. Apple often releases its flagship smartphone series on the second Tuesday of September.
iPhone 14 models will likely continue to employ the A15 chip launched with the iPhone 13 series, whilst iPhone 14 Pro versions will receive an improved A16 chip. This would be the first time that the Pro iPhone models have received a speedier processor, with Apple perhaps taking this path to save costs and address persistent supply difficulties.
Since 2017, iPhones with Face ID have featured a notch on the front to contain the essential electronics for face recognition. With the release of the iPhone 14, this will change. The notch is predicted to be eliminated from the iPhone 14 Pro models of 2022 in favour of a new design. It now appears that Apple will utilise a mix of a circular hole-punch cutout for the camera and a pill-shaped cutout to house the Face ID sensors. This innovation will be restricted to the Pro versions, while the cheaper iPhone 14 models will retain the regular notch.
