What is the difference between a writer and a copywriter?
In my opinion, a writer is a content creator and a copywriter is a storyteller. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with writers or storytellers, I’m just saying there are different types of content creators. I’m saying there is a need for both writers and copywriters, which is why I named my writing and copywriting agency, Story Writers & Copywriters.
The reason why I use the word “storyteller” is that writers typically tell stories, which is why they write, while copywriters typically communicate story ideas. I’m also using “storyteller” in the broadest sense possible. A storyteller could be someone like Oprah, a reporter, or even you and I.
