Is there a way to See Deleted Instagram Photos?
Can you see deleted Instagram photos? This is a frequent question by users who have deleted some important photos on their Instagram profiles.
Instagram has demonstrated that a picture is worth a thousand words. It is one of the most popular social networking platforms, with users racing to get as many followers as possible.
The same may be said about the number of likes on their social media posts. Users erase old postings to make room for fresh and better photographs when they are pressured to establish an attractive profile.

What if you erased your Instagram photographs or videos by accident? Is it still possible to restore Instagram photographs that have been deleted? There’s some excellent news for you: the answer is YES! We will discuss how you can do that, i.e. restoring deleted Instagram pictures.
Earlier this year, Instagram introduced the “Recently Deleted” tool. Users may utilize this function to recover photographs, videos, reels, IGTV movies, and tales they may have deleted unintentionally or knowingly. Before this functionality was enabled, deleted posts could not be retrieved.
All your recently deleted pictures, reels, IGTV videos, and stories have been transferred to the ‘Recently Deleted’ folder. Destroyed articles that aren’t in your archive will remain in the folder for up to 24 hours before being permanently erased, while other posts will remain in the folder for 30 days before being permanently deleted.
According to Instagram, the new feature also includes additional verifications to prevent hackers from permanently deleting or restoring deleted posts. Users will be asked to prove that they own the account before they can permanently delete or restore items from the Recently Deleted folder. To recover your Instagram posts that were recently deleted, follow the procedures below.
Your deleted post will appear on your profile once you’ve completed the procedures. If you shared a story less than 24 hours ago, it will appear on your profile and be seen by others; otherwise, you may locate it in the Stories Archive folder.
Methods to See Deleted Instagram Photos?
The new feature includes verifications to prevent hackers from permanently deleting or restoring deleted posts. Photos, reels, IGTV videos, and deleted stories are immediately removed from your account and placed in the Recently Deleted area. For up to 24 hours, stories that have been removed but are not in your archive will stay in the folder.
Everything else will be deleted promptly after 30 days. To view your deleted material within those 30 days, go to Settings > Account > Recently Deleted on the newest version of the Instagram app. From there, you may either restore it or entirely delete it. Learn how to access Instagram’s ‘Recently Deleted’ folder by following the instructions below.
- Get the most recent version of Instagram from Google Play or the App Store.
- Go to your profile after you’ve started the app. Then, to Settings, tap the hamburger menu in the upper right corner.
- From the drop-down menu, choose Account and then the new Recently Deleted option. Your recently erased material will appear on the screen. Now press the three dots symbol at the top of the screen, then tap the post you want to recover.
You now have the option of permanently deleting or retrieving the post. Tap Restore to get your deleted posts restored. For security reasons, you must first verify that you are the one who is restoring. A one-time password will be sent to your phone number or email address (OTP). Finally, click the Confirm button after entering the code into the box.
You can easily restore your deleted Instagram posts or stories by following these instructions.
Once you’ve completed the instructions, your deleted post will appear on your profile. If you shared a story within the last 24 hours, it will appear on your profile and be viewable by others; if not, it will be found in the Stories Archive folder.
Instagram Archive
Instagram got another feature: the Instagram archive tool which makes it possible to get back lost photos. Any photo or article that anybody sees can be hidden. Any “removed” photographs can be regained by clicking twice on them.
Instagram’s archive feature is essentially the same as the Recycle Bin, which is where temporary storage files are stored. Your photographs will remain available for rapid recovery and sharing until you empty them. If you delete photographs from your Instagram archive later, you won’t be able to restore them.
Check Instagram Album on Your Device
If you don’t see the photo in your camera roll, it was probably erased from your smartphone. Photos that have been deleted are moved to the Recently Deleted album.
The problem is that these photos are only available for 30 days. If that time has gone by, you will no longer be able to see the image here. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to find the required photo by selecting it and tapping Recover. It will be returned to the album from which it was originally saved.
