Transfer WhatsApp Chats from iOS to Android

Android and iOS are two of the most used operating systems for smartphones in the world. While the popularity of iOS and Android smartphones are on the rise, some users have an existing WhatsApp account with numbers that have a different operating system.

WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app for smartphones these days. In addition to being a simple and lightweight app, it’s one of the safest messaging apps on iOS and Android. If you are such a user and you want to transfer your existing WhatsApp chat to an Android device then the article below might help. If you don’t have an iOS device, but you want to download WhatsApp on an Android device then check out our post on How to download WhatsApp on Android.

You may soon be able to convert WhatsApp chats from iOS to Android using Google’s Data Restore Tool. According to reports, Google has published a new version that mentions moving WhatsApp chat data from an iPhone to an Android phone.

A forthcoming WhatsApp version is planned to provide the functionality for beta testers.

References for transferring WhatsApp chats and data from an iPhone to an Android smartphone were discovered in the latest updated ‘version 1.0.382048734′ of the Data Restore Tool app, first reported by 9to5Google.

In order to begin the conversation transfer operation, the Data Restore Tool app will display a QR code that must be scanned on the iPhone.

For this, you’ll need to “keep your iPhone unlocked and WhatsApp open.”

If you can’t scan the QR code for whatever reason, you may start the migration process by going to WhatsApp > Settings > Chats > Move chats to Android. Even though I don’t have the choice right now, WABetaInfo was able to observe the migration process in action.

A forthcoming WhatsApp version is planned to provide the functionality for beta testers. Given that transferring is now accessible on WABetaInfo, we shouldn’t have to wait long for the new feature to become more widely available.
