PUBG Mobile will Return in May or June as “Battlegrounds Mobile India”

There have been several developments on PUBG Mobile India’s comeback. The game’s official discord server now reveals that it will most likely be relaunched under the name “Battlegrounds Mobile India.”

The fact that the game’s official Instagram account has taken the dramatic step of deleting all of their messages, leaving only one that says the game is coming soon, backs up this point. People began to notice this around midnight when PUBG Mobile India began deleting all of their previous posts one by one.

For a while, the firm also posted a brief teaser on its YouTube page. It quickly made the video private, but copies of it have been circulating on social media. The Battlegrounds Mobile India rebranding was seen on the company’s Facebook and YouTube pages, but these have since been reverted to PUBG Mobile India.

The developers are rumoured to be working on an India-only version of the game in order to relaunch it in the region. There have been some signs recently leading to a rebranding of the game, aside from the shift in the titles of the company’s social media handles.

A recent flyer, for example, featured the new name as part of the innovative in an embedded connection to a Vimeo site. The poster was discovered by Gemwire, which also discovered that Krafton had registered the domain “battlegroundsmobileindia.in” in India.

Though it is clear that Krafton is working to get the battle royale action game back to India, the result will be largely determined by the Indian government’s approval. Last year, the centre banned the famous game in India, citing its links to Chinese investor Tencent amid escalating tensions between the two countries.

Krafton has now severed relations with Tencent and is preparing to make a big change in its India operations. A Krafton official announced at a recent gaming convention held with the government’s help that the organisation is working hard to get the game back to India’s gaming ecosystem.

Though the government has not stated its position explicitly, it has repeatedly stated that it is still undecided about allowing PUBG Mobile to operate in India. According to the government, the game is “offensive, graphic, and addictive” in nature and aims to build a complex in children’s minds.
