YouTube offers a wealth of content, both professional and amateur. While much of it is entertaining or informative, some can be objectionable.

Some YouTube channels are ones you should never visit. It’s possible that they create clickbait articles of low quality or that the creators’ opinions differ from yours. In any event, you shouldn’t let YouTube channels you don’t want to watch fill up your stream.

If you find a YouTube channel that you feel is inappropriate, you can block it. This will prevent the channel from appearing in your search results, recommended videos, and other places on YouTube. Here are a few things one can try to block a Youtube channel.

You may ban a YouTube channel in one of two ways: either you prevent it from commenting on your videos or you prevent its videos from appearing in your youtube feeds. We’ll demonstrate both for you.

How to Block a Youtube Channel and remove it from showing in feeds?

In the strictest sense, a YouTube channel cannot be “blocked” by a viewer because the term is used on the internet. You can easily block it from showing up on your feed and in your recommendations. This doesn’t mean you can’t find the channel elsewhere, like in search results or on a different website. To enhance your YouTube recommendations, blocking a YouTube channel is implemented at the account level.

The first kind of YouTube restriction prevents you from seeing suggestions for videos from a certain channel in your YouTube feed. When you block a channel in this manner, your modifications take effect on all of the devices you use that are signed into the same YouTube (Google) account.

How to Block a Youtube Channel?

Open a browser on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer and navigate the YouTube website to start.

Find a video on the blocked channel’s channels on YouTube website. Once you’ve done that, click the three-dot menu by hovering over the video.

• Choose “Don’t Recommend Channel” from the option that appears when you click the three dots.
• There you have it. YouTube will no longer suggest videos from the chosen channel in your stream.
• Click “Undo” on the card that comes after you accidentally block a channel if you made a mistake. Your action is now in reverse.
• You may restrict a channel to prevent it from leaving comments on the videos you’ve posted. If a channel keeps putting improper comments on your videos, you might wish to take this action.

In contrast to the sections above, if you block a channel in this manner, you don’t have to unblock every channel that has been blocked first.

On your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer, open a web browser and navigate to the YouTube website to prevent a channel from leaving comments on your videos.

Click the search box at the top of the page. Enter the name of the channel you wish to block once you’ve typed it.

Block a Youtube Channel on iOS, iPhone or Android

Users of the YouTube app for Android, iPhone, and iPad may also ban a channel. Open the YouTube app on your smartphone to get started.

Scroll through the videos in the list. Locate the video that is associated with the channel you wish to ban. The three-dot menu is located next to the video’s title.

From the selection that opens, choose “Don’t Recommend Channel.”

The YouTube channel you’ve chosen is currently banned.

How to Block a Youtube Channel So That It Can’t Comment on Your Videos

You may restrict a channel to prevent it from leaving comments on the videos you’ve posted. If a channel keeps putting improper comments on your videos, you might wish to take this action.

How to Unblock Youtube Channel?

YouTube doesn’t let you unblock certain channels as other providers do. Unblocking each of your blocked channels is your sole choice. Open Google’s My Activity website in a web browser on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer if you wish to proceed with that.

Choose “Other Google Activity” from the left sidebar on the “My Google Activity” website.

To access the “YouTube Not Interested Feedback” area, scroll down to the next screen. Select “Delete” from the menu here.

A pop-up notice will appear on YouTube. To remove your list of banned channels, choose “Delete” in this pop-up.
